Laptop buyers often ask me about the Lenovo brand. It seems as if though little is known about them. This article is meant to give you some background information about the Lenovo brand.
Lenovo is the 4th largest personal computer manufacturer in the world. They were founded in 1984 and are based in China. They are the largest manufacturer in China. The produce laptops, desktops, servers etc. Lenovo is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
In 2005 Lenovo bought the personal computing definition of IBM in exchange, IBM got a 20% stake in Lenovo. That is why names like the Lenovo Ideapad and Lenovo Thinkpad, will sound very familiar as it was former IBM products.
Lenovo has some beautiful designs and great reliability. Their main selling point however is the value for money. From the cheapest Netbook to the most expensive Thinkpad – laptop, you will go far to get the same value for money you get from Lenovo.
Do a search on www.laptop-computers.co.za for Lenovo and take a look at what is on offer. From as little as R5000 you can have your own Ideapad, Netbook, with Intel atom and Windows XP. Or for R 9 499 you can have the G530 cutting edge business laptop with Centrino Core 2 duo T6400, 3GB of Ram.
They have a lot more in range and it is always quite a lot cheaper than their nearest competitor.
Try them I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
